One of the basic lessons of our childhood days is ‘respect your elders’ . Why we ask ? Most of the time this question received vague answers like its good manners , I am elder so you should listen to me and the best and most confusing one is because they are elders ! Does being born before someone entitles you the respect of younger generation ? As kids we were taught things that conflicted like respect everyone but don’t answer back , be humble and always stand tall , stand your ground but don’t fight . There is a delicate balance where we have to act in way that accomplishes both the above targets with one arrow. This article is for those in their late teens and above . Now that we ourselves are in this age , as young adults , that respecting elders is as complex and just as simple . Lets see some of the reasons why we should do respect elders.
Pushing an elder to get a better seat or the last piece of cake is never worth it for it never feels right . we gladly help a child when he is about to fall , why ? Because he cant care for himself and we know it . Same thing applies to the seniors .Humanity, this is another reason to respect elders . we all share a bond as human beings . As a child we are helped at every stage by people we know and don’t know , because we need it and cant survive without it. This is instinct imbibed in all to protect our kids . Same way when elders who face their own health problem , vision problem the more able bodied generation should shoulder the responsibility as it is nothing less than their duty to respect their elder generation . Its a pay back for safe childhood and hope for more assisted old age.
All of us children, no matter what age, should try to be considerate towards our parents and adults in our lives. We should try to lend a hand around the house and take on some of our parents burden. Soon enough we will be adults and parents faced with the same anxieties. Be mindful to your parents and administer the love they deserve for trying their hardest. Be a respectful person and take on the responsibilities your parents have been trying to teach you. The first step to kindness should be the love you will to your parents. To you, I pose a challenge. I challenge you to share in my belief and show love and most of all respect towards your parents.
I believe children should always respect their parents. Showing parental respect in our everyday lives provides us with the ability to treat every person we meet with kindness and adoration. Billy Graham once said “A child who is allowed to be disrespectful to his parents will not have true respect for anyone.” Children today imagine their parents have everything the world has to offer, and that they are there to serve to their every whim. Every child needs to realize that sometimes parents have more responsibilities and hardships that maybe they don’t see. They try their hardest to support their families and don’t need a child that causes extra stress to their everyday lives.
Every child should be taught respect in order to exist in the human society well. Without knowledge of the norms of respect, it is difficult to make friends, make prosperous career, even find love. A properly-composed essay on respect for children should be logically-structured, interesting and informative. A student is supposed to present a fascinating narration about respect and responsibility, its types, its value and importance. Finally, an essay should contain good methods and tips which will help parents to teach kids express their respect.
